The course was organized by Prof. Dirk van Zyl Smit and Dr. Catherine Appleton (The University of Nottingham) as a tie-in to the “Life Imprisonment Worldwide” research project in which the Balkan Criminology group participates. Filip Vojta, LL.M., a member of the Balkan Criminology group, participated in the course and gave a lecture titled “Life and Long-Term Imprisonment in the Countries of the Former Yugoslavia”.
