Celebrating the 70th birthday of Balkan Criminology’s “Godfather" Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Hans-Jörg Albrecht, on the 17th September 2021, colleagues and friends gathered in Berlin to present him with the Liber Amicorum in his honor.
The book “Exploring the World of Crime and Criminology" in many ways is a grand collection of who’s who in German and international criminology and criminal law.
Prof. Dr. Albrecht back in 2012 endorsed the founding of Balkan Criminology and has ever since greatly supported its work, acting as a kind of a “Godfather" to the Balkan Criminology research mission and all its individual (PhD) projects. For this Prof. Dr. Anna-Maria Getoš Kalac, Head of Balkan Criminology, thanked him personally with a dinner speech, to which we all subscribe gratefully and hereby thank him once again!
